So Much To Be Thankful For, So Many Ways To Give Back!

i-careOnce in awhile they let me out of my fundraising office and unleash me on the unsuspecting public. This week’s blog isn’t about specific policies or politics or programs– but it IS about easy ways to support Maine Family Planning. Please don’t delete me. Read on!

First, for the first time ever we’re participating in #GivingTuesday on December 2nd. As the #GivingTuesday website states:

“We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. Now, we have #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.”

So, if you have received your 2014-2015 Annual Fund letter from us and haven’t made your gift yet, here’s your chance– pop that contribution in the mail! Or, if you’re an online type of person, mark your calendar for December 2nd, click here to go to our website, and give what you can.

Second, if you’re an online shopper, Maine Family Planning is now an AmazonSmile participant. Go to smile.amazon.com, choose Maine Family Planning as your charity, and shop. Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to Maine Family Planning. Painless!

Last, we’re still in shopping mode here. If you want a brilliant gift for yourself or someone near and dear to your heart, look no further. This year’s Birds and the Bees Spring Soirèe raffle prize is a 7-day/6night trip to the City of Lights, PARIS. For more information on the raffle, check out our flyer online.

Click here to purchase a ticket(s):  tickets are $100 each; only 125 will be sold. You know you want to go (and support MFP at the same time)!

If you’ve read this whole “shameless commerce” blog, you are terrific! Your support means a great deal to us, so if you have any questions, please email us at giving@mainefamilyplanning.org. Thank you for your commitment and support of Maine Family Planning and its important work.
