At family planning clinics, we will treat all clients with respect and caring. If you've had unprotected sex, we want you to come in for STD testing -- no shame, blame or guilt here!

"I don't know how to talk with my partner about STDs."

Whether or not you test positive for an STD, our family planning specialists can help you figure out how to have an open conversation with your sexual partner about STD testing and using protection.

"I don’t want my parents or other people to know I am going to Family Planning."

All visits to our family planning clinics are confidential. Your privacy is one of our main concerns.

"I don’t make a lot of money, so I can’t afford to pay for the services" or "I don’t have insurance."

Our services are very affordable. We use a discount system so you only pay part of the total cost based on your household income.  Most of our clients get reduced fees for services and supplies.  You may even get the services for free.

"I get a physical from my primary care provider every year. Can I still visit family planning?"

Maybe you get a physical every year with your regular provider. If you do, great! That means you care about your health. But if you're not comfortable talking with your regular provider about sexual health issues, you can still come to a family planning clinic.

"I heard they have to insert something into my penis to test for STDs."

Nope. Depending on which STD test you need or want, a simple urine sample, blood draw or mouth swab is all we need.

"I'm afraid to find out I have an STD."

That's a common worry. Here's the scoop. Some STDs are easily treated with antibiotics. Others are with you for a lifetime, but can be managed with proper care and treatment.  If you do test positive for an STD, our staff will help you figure out your next steps.
