What happens in our nation's capitol affects Mainers
While many decisions affecting reproductive rights are made at the state level, Congress and the President also have a lot of power to limit or expand access. The current leadership in Congress has made repeated attempts to limit abortion rights and eliminate federal family planning funding, while the President and Executive agencies have established policies to expand access.
Maine Family Planning works closely with Maine's Congressional delegation to keep them informed about what's happening here in Maine and how Mainers would be affected by pending legislation.
